A fun chilly outing on the river yesterday morning, Binh and I caught a wide variety of fish including bass, walleye, pike, and carp. Biggest bass went 19ā at 4.3 lbs. No idea what the carp weighed but it sure felt like a battle for the ages!

Chilly morning yesterday so cold the rod eyelets kept freezing over along with frozen finger tips and toes, a runny nose, muscle cramps despite wearing multiple layers⦠But all worth it with this 21-inch, 5 pounder right on the dot! Thanks to my cousin Binh on the net job. Winterizing the canoe and switching over to river fishing for the remainder of the season.

Back on the river for another smallmouth bass fishing adventure! Started off really slow but the bite picked up by mid-morning. Binh landed a 19ā brute and I followed up a little later with a 21 incher, tying my personal best. These river bronzebacks are pure muscle, fighting power!

Started the day off bass fishing. Three bass in, the pike bite took over. Follows and aggressive bites near the canoe made for a thrilling morning! Biggest pike was 32 inches.

Scorching heat didnāt stop us from putting in a few hours today pulling in a few Labor Day brutes. A fish here, a fish there⦠picking out the best cover spots and pitching jigs and chatterbaits. Happy Labor Day weekend everyone!

My nephew Christian has never fished before so I took him out this past Wednesday along with JT for an evening of panfishing. Not sure how many they caught total but it sure made me feel good to see the big smiles on their faces!

At 21 inches! Thanks to my cousin Binh, after setting the hook the fish dug deep followed by a couple leaps and wrapped himself underneath a log jam. For a couple minutes we thought the fish was gone and the hook was snagged into the tree underwater. A few paddle strokes and maneuvering the canoe, the line miraculously came free and the monster bass leaped out of the water! We got it in the net, a couple pics, and back in the water he went to fight another day.

Fast action catching some brutes with my cousin Binh today on chatterbaits and spinnerbaits! We captured some of the action. Enjoy the video!

Came home to a package from Jimmy Dās River Bugs! These hair jigs look like da BOMB! ![]()
Looking forward to working river smallmouth with these things!

According to the In-Fisherman Solunar calendar this past Sunday, July 16, it was supposed to be a Great day for fishing. Boy was it Super! The bite was no doubt on fire. Lots of nice bass and a bonus pike to top it off. A good day spent on the water catching up with my cousin Binh!
