Nam Nguyen
Nam Nguyen began fishing at the age of 4 catching sunfish with worms. He has spent countless hours on the water observing fish, the waters they live in, and figuring out what it takes to catch them.
He has fished numerous lakes, rivers and streams across Minnesota, Wisconsin and Canada. His favorite waters include Lake Kabetogama, Rowan Lake, Big Turtle Lake, Lower Manitou Lake, and Eagle Lake.
His recent interest in the past couple years has been canoe/kayak fishing. In 2014, he won 1st Place in a Minnesota Kayak Fishing Association Biggest Bass Tournament. He placed 2nd in the Minnesota/Wisconsin KBF State Challenge Series in 2015. In September 2016, Nam placed 3rd in the North Central GL September 2016 KBF RCS, which earned him a berth in the 2017 Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship.
Nam’s photos have been featured in In-Fisherman, North American Fisherman, BoatU.S. ANGLER Magazine, Bass Club Digest, and various newspapers and catalogs. He was also interviewed on the Dakota Prairie Outdoors radio show on the topic of largemouth bass and walleye fishing in the Twin Cities area. His smallmouth bass photo was featured for the month May in the 2011 North American Fisherman “Bass” Calendar.
He enjoys introducing youth to fishing and provide them with opportunities to catch fish.
