JT put on a fishing clinic on the dock today! Caught his first crappie too. Lots of bluegills and a perch!

Chunky river smallmouth just a 10 minute walk from my office! My first smallie this year on a 1/4 oz. Flasher jig rigged with a 3″ curly tail grub in the pumpkin pepper color.
Wraptor Tackle Roll
Fun day this past Saturday at the Vibe Kayak Bass Tournament! One of my prize selection was this Wraptor Tackle Roll. Very impressed with how I can organize my crankbaits neatly and retrieve them without the treble hook tangled mess.
2019 Vibe Kayak Bass Tournament
Wind gust of nearly 30 mph this past Saturday, June 18th out on Lake Sakatah but I did manage a few fish. Texas rigging a 6” Deception Worm with an 1/8 oz. tungsten flipping weight and chatterbait were my go-to lures!

Lots of Big Sunnies for JT
I took JT out for a little fishing adventure yesterday afternoon. We stopped at a gas station to pick up a couple cans of waxies. JT caught about a dozen nice bluegills and pumpkinseed sunfish within an hour. Fun day at the lake!
Bullseye & the Anglr App
A pretty cool little gadget called the Bullseye I wanted to share with you about my experience with it during my recent bass outing in southwest Iowa. I must say I was very impressed with the Bullseye after utilizing it for two and a half days. I successfully paired it with my Anglr app right on my phone. As I caught fish, I marked the GPS location where I caught them and was able to log in my catch, lure, rod & reel used, any notes, etc. right into the Anglr app. This info will be very helpful for next year as I plan to make the Iowa trip an annual thing. Not only was the logbook useful but the app also gave me real-time minute-by-minute weather conditions like air temp, wind speed and direction, and cloud coverage too.
Attached are a few photos from my screen capture. One feature I didn’t utilize and wished I did was recording my entire trip with the Anglr app. I will be going out in a couple weeks to fish for crappies and will definitely track my outing.
I can already see that I will be using the Bullseye heavily this season and for years to come!
Iowa Kayak Bass Fishing (April 2019)
What a great fun Iowa trip spending the last couple days fishing for big chunky bass with these awesome guys! Biggest was around 21 inches. It was nice to breakaway from the long cold winter and catch some fish. Definitely a memorable trip!
